Today a mate of mine asked me to name my top albums of the decade, so I’ve had a crack here. So appraised solely on the number of times I listened to them, here are my 10 fave albums of the naughties - what are yours?

1. The Seldom Seen Kid - Elbow
Some of the most beautiful melodies I’ve ever heard, coupled with witty, clever and narrative lyrics make this one of my favourite albums of all time, never mind the 00’s.
Favourite track: Mirrorball
My top techno tunes of the moment:
1. Timing - Guy Gerber // Cocoon
2. Emergency (Rafael Noronha & Re Dupre remix) - Anderson Noise // Lo Kik
3. Klin - Dusty Kid // Boxer
4. Chair Ethics (Dale Anderson mix) - Anil Chawla // CD-R
5. Schizophonic - Audiojack // 2020 Vision
6. Qwerty Poema - Jurek Przezdziecki // Cocoon
7. Ghost Song (Prompt remix) - Slam // Soma
8. El diamante (reix mix) - Jesus Balza // Reix
9. Bomoh - D Dub // Takt
10. Violente - Anthony Collins / Tolga Fidan // Vakant
The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain playing the theme from Shaft!
And the very talented Newton Faulkner’s one-man performance of Bohemian Rhapsody.
As per my previous post, I’ll be DJing with my good mate Dan Cat (Catz) at Aquarium right next to Old Street tube station. Headliners will be ANdre Crom from Berlin and Mistress De Funk from Radio 1. Should be a great laugh, the last one was brilliant
My buddies Tim Davison and Dale Anderson are playing down at Ministry tonight, and in fact it’s the album launch party for Tim’s ‘Long way from home’ longplayer out on Baroque records. See you down the front
